From the Desk of Schuba...

Dear Izzi B. Family and Friends,

Welcome back! We are geared up for a new and exciting school year. Our staff is dedicated to making the MOST of every valuable moment we have with your children. Izzi B. continues to work hard to challenge our students intellectually, grow them socially and guide them toward independent-thinking and problem-solving. We maintain a school environment based upon learning, collaboration and results. Summer vacation provided staff much needed time to rest, rejuvenate and reflect on our next improvement strategies. Back to School Night is this Thursday, Aug. 22, and will allow families a glimpse of our new initiatives for the 2019-2020 School year. Please come join us!

Here is a leadership quote that touched me over the summer.

"When I was in elementary school, I really liked school. When I taught elementary school, I taught young minds eager to learn. Now I work to help construct a school where no elementary student doesn’t love coming. Elementary school should be a place a kid can’t WAIT to get to." ~ Principal Terry Trueman

At Isabella Bird Community School, we pride ourselves in being innovative, and I look forward to what our school year offers! Don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. You, too, can come to the Principal’s Office. I promise it isn’t a scary place.

Fondly,

Principal Schuba
