What IS the Auction?
The annual auction is a super fun, adult-only community event that raises critical funds for the school. Typically we raise more than 50% of our annual fundraising goal on this one evening. The entire event is planned and executed by a group of Izzi B parent volunteers each year!

Why do we need to fundraise for IBCS? Don’t my taxes cover the cost of public education?
Unfortunately, no. Colorado is ranked the 11th wealthiest state in the United States and yet we sit 42nd in per-pupil spending, which is $2,300 below the national average per pupil! DPS funds only cover teacher salaries, facilities, and basic supplies. The TABOR Law of 1992 vastly restricts the amount of funding school districts receive and because of this, we MUST fundraise. Community contributions go toward funding Technology, Exploratories and Arts Week, Professional Development, School Curriculum, Community Building Events, and much more.

What does my auction ticket purchase include?
Your ticket purchase includes a full dinner, dessert, drinks, live entertainment a la Price is Right, and access to bid on TONS of silent and live auction items. Every dollar you spend on auction items directly benefits IBCS and your child’s education. Additionally, IBCS is also a 501(c)3 organization, so your purchases may be tax deductible (consult your tax advisor).

What should I wear?
This year's theme is very casual. Wear whatever you want! Get with some friends and design themed t-shirts!
