Notes from the Dragon Cave

From the Desk of Schuba...

Dear Isabella Bird Community School,

Celebrating diversity is at the heart of Izzi B.'s philosophy. Diversity goes beyond race and religion; it also includes those who learn differently or may have social emotional issues.

Did you know one in every 68 children is diagnosed with Autism? Students are likely to encounter a number of children with the disorder. This why it's important to foster within our students an acceptance of individuals with different abilities. This month's Report to Parents, “Helping Children Understand Autism,” offers families ways to educate their children about Autism. Learn more.

Fondly,

Principal Schuba
